Apricot cream is an apricot liqueur which is one of the flagship products of Briottet. Appreciated by bartenders all over the world, this classic knows how to revive your taste buds!

As for the blackcurrants from Burgundy of our Cremes de Cassis de Dijon or the pear Williams of our Liqueur de Poire, we select the best varieties of fruit for the elaboration of our liqueur. Thus, for the Crème d'Abricot, it is the Apricot of the Bergeron variety that won our membership. Indeed, the Bergeron is an essential variety with very fragrant fruit to give a unique taste to our liquor.

For the production of this liqueur, everything begins in August in the Rhone Valley in France, when the apricot is harvested at maturity and selected with the greatest care. Once arrived at Maison Briottet, the fruit macerates for a long time in our workshop... But be careful: we are talking here about the whole fruit with skin, flesh and kernel. It is thanks to the mixture and contributions of each part of this fruit that our Apricot Liqueur keeps this inimitable taste! This step takes time: the maceration of apricots is even longer than the maceration of blackcurrants for the Crème de Cassis de Dijon, that’s it!

Then we move on to the extraction phase of the juice from the fruit press (a very aromatic juice!). To do this, we use an ancestral method by decantation. Therefore, the extraction is long: 10 liters per 10 liters... But it’s worth it, because the juice is extremely aromatic. Maybe other methods could save us some time. However, we are not convinced that we would retain this quality. So, we keep the good old methods used by our elders!

You can drink it neat on the rocks, or with a dry or sparkling white wine. As for cocktails, give "Paradise" a go: 4 cl of gin, 2 cl of Briottet Apricot liqueur, and 4 cl of orange juice.
